Summer is finally here and I’m happy to be spending more time at the beach! This was a fun shoot I did with the cutie Lina Dinh (@lovebtntheracks) during her last visit in LA. We shot this in Manhattan Beach right before her flight, followed …

So right after New York Fashion Week, Lina Dinh and I decided to escape winter and headed west. Our first stop was San Francisco, which unfortunately I was too busy with work and couldn’t show Lina around. The next day, we trekked to Monterey Bay, where I showed her one of my favorite places in California. The weather was nothing short of amazing, and totally reminded me why I live and love California.
We walked along the historic Cannery Row and this wall totally complemented her outfit.
Monterey Bay was just breathtaking that day. (Here’s a Fyuse of it: Click Here).
I had the fish and chips from the Fish Hopper Restaurant, which was surprisingly good!
We began heading south by going through the 17 Mile Drive, one of Lina’s bucket list.
I had a great time with Lina in our mini road trip. Unfortunately she was washed away by the waves a couple of minutes after this photo was taken and her iPhone had water damaged. Other than that, we couldn’t stop talking about how we did not see the waves coming and realizing that the place was called “Restless Sea” for a reason. We’re just both happy she survived that day.
This is us after she dried up and was a trooper the rest of the way: Click Here. We headed down to Santa Barbara later on prior to heading to LA. Blog post coming soon!
It was good to be reunited with my favorite Canadian Lina Dinh in New York City. She was the perfect partner-in-crime as we attended a couple events together and explored NYC during New York Fashion Week. We shot this in Chelsea after Marianna Hewitt’s IMG/Papyrus …
I’m not sure what’s worse – tourists or crazy people – that always get in the way during a shoot. Market Street is definitely not my ideal place to shoot, but I still love the hustle and bustle of it. And then you get harassed by bums or interrupted by hordes of tourists. I just remember a few interesting characters that got in my shoot with Lina in this set. So we kept walking to a quieter area past 4th Street. This was the third of five looks that we did. I hope you like this series! See Lina’s post for more details about her outfit: Cropped and Trumpet.
P.S. I miss shooting with her.
