Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors

Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors

The Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors special exhibition is the BEST museum experience I’ve ever been to! I really had to count my lucky stars for being able to get advanced tickets to this exhibition, which was harder to get than Coachella VIP tickets (thanks Julie)!

A Happy Place with Kkarmalove

A Happy Place with Kkarmalove

A Happy Place just opened this week in LA’s Art District (where I shoot like all the time)! If you don’t know what it is, it’s like another version of Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) but with 13 rooms and lots of Instagrammable rooms to take photos in. Since there are more rooms, you could expect to spend at least 45mins to an hour here compared to MOIC which you could breeze through in 20-25mins. It’s about $28.50 for a ticket, so it’s not cheap if you’re rolling on a budget. I went with Christine @kkarmalove and we had mixed feelings about A Happy Place. [If you don’t want me to spoil it for you, don’t read any further!] Despite having more rooms than MOIC, not all of them were that great. I only really liked about three rooms. Our chief complaint was that the lighting was terrible and wished they had better lighting or even had glass ceilings to let natural light in. It would’ve made everyone’s photos a lot better. Other than that, I think everyone’s experiences is going to be different. Some will love it, some will not. After all, you can’t make everyone happy.
