This was by far one of the hardest shoots I’ve ever done but no one would’ve noticed unless I told the story. So Louise Roe was running a bit late due to traffic heading to SoHo, and the snow was pouring like I’ve never seen it before. I thought the snow would calm down by the time she arrived, but it only snowed even harder. I was almost skeptical that I would be able to get any good shots at all with very poor lighting conditions and snow being everywhere. Did I mention that I’m not used to shooting in snow? With all of these factors, I made the best out of the situation and did the best I could. It really put me out of my comfort zone and started playing with settings that are out of my normal settings. In the end, I was glad to hear that Louise was very happy with how the shots turned out! I do prefer shooting with her in sunny Los Angeles, but this was indeed a memorable experience shooting with her in New York and if I had to shoot through snow, I’m a lot more prepared this time around!
