Is it summer yet? I’ve grown tired of watching all the snow and winter looks on my Instagram feed that I thought I would heat things up with these photos I took of my favorite Brazilian model Paula Newlands. We shot this in the Shore …
Month: February 2015
For the record, Jeanne Grey was the very first blogger I met and shot during my NYFW trip. I was glad that it was her because I really love working with her. She always brings a stellar style each time I work with her, and each look is always as fresh as baby powder. The last time we shot was in September’s fashion week, and unfortunately we missed each other a couple of times when she was in the West Coast. Funny story, we took several shots around Times Square. After half an hour has passed, she confessed that she hated Times Square. Since I was in tourist mode, I made the realization that her outfit would be best shot on a dark background. So we actually wandered around Midtown looking for spots and we came upon this black staircase/door area. I’m glad we took that extra time to explore, having the right background makes a difference, especially if it’s clean and creates contrast. Hope you enjoyed the shots! Check out her blog post for more details of her outfit: The Snow White Effect.
I learned that snow days in New York City are usually warmer than non-snow days during the winter season. I’m not quite sure why but I’m sure there’s scientific reason behind it. I spent the whole day at Lincoln Center this time, and caught a lot of amazing bloggers. The snow started to fall later in the afternoon, which was pretty fun at first (see Melanee Shale welcoming the snow flakes) but then it got more intense later in the day that it made it difficult for my camera to focus and function. I’m pretty sure that’s how my camera started acting up at the end of the day. Without further ado, these are my favorites from day three of New York Fashion Week:
Model and Fashion Blogger Svea Berlie
Brazilian model/blogger/traveler Gizele Oliveira.
Stephanie of Honey n Silk
Leandra of Man Repeller
Leah Ho of Lipstick Catwalk
Candace of Marie Mag
And many more…
Which ones were your favorites?
Today was perhaps the coldest day of New York Fashion Week. The morning was so chilly, it was almost unbearable to take any shots outside. I also had a really tough start. Planned on arriving at Lincoln Center for the MONGOL fashion show, but ended …
