Perhaps one of my favorite commercial / lifestyle shots I’ve ever taken. This one was for jewelry e-commerce site LovelyLovely.me, which you should check out by the way. We shot this back in August, with models Natalie Peel and Jewel Pi. I really love how it turned out. I had some last minute help in styling by my friend/stylist Elaine Wu (Falosophie). We strolled around the Union Square area and just had a blast shooting. Jewel and Natalie were a good pair, and definitely were easy models to work with.
My friend/stylist Elaine Wu flew in a couple of dresses from Los Angeles for a test shoot with model Jewel Pi. We shot this on an overcast day at the Cliff House. It was perfect – barely any people, not too cold, just a light breeze. Jewel nailed several shots with great poses, and Elaine’s picks were definitely breathtaking.
Here are some of the behind the scenes from my shoot with Jewel and Elaine. We shot this at the Cliff House in San Francisco, one of my favorite places to shoot. Unless it is super windy and freezing.
Something casual. Something natural. Ocean Beach. It’s lovely and serene when there’s hardly any people that gets in the way.

Here are some of the behind the scenes from yesterday’s shoot. It’s our fourth photo shoot together, Jewel and I, and this time it’s with Falosophie’s Elaine Wu as our stylist. Shot at the Cliff House, we were lucky to have overcast and not so cold winds. Stay tuned for the final shots.
Doesn’t this make you want to go shopping?? Shoot with Natalie P. and Jewel Pi.
Jewel at Union Square. Instead of dodging cars, we dodged tourists.
