So it’s a rather small photo on the corner of the table of contents of this June’s Vanity Fair issue with Brad Pitt on the cover … but it’s still pretty cool to see my photo of blogger Megan Solla being published on this amazing magazine!! Thank you, Kate / VF!
Jessica of HapaTime, featuring Trendy Blendy. Just another Throwback Tuesday post!
The last two days of Coachella were quite memorable, not so much as the bands and the festivities but the people I’ve met and hung out with. There’s fashion blogger sisters Dani and Aimee, who are just fun-packed (and never a dull moment!). And then Wes and Garland, two of the most talented people I know. Wes is a photographer, Garland is a designer. Then after wandering the Coachella lands for reception, I finally found Chanda, aka Pancakestacker, with her partner-in-crime Kathleen Carla out at the Rose Garden VIP section, enjoying their little picnic. The next day I was joined by a good blogger friend of mine, Aminta, all the way from New York City. We each enjoyed a good flatbread dish before heading out to see the bands. I then spent the rest of the day with Garland and Michelle. Not to mention, running into Jamie Chung and The Man Repeller! We watched the Wu Tang Clan (first time ever they have reunited!) to end my first ever Coachella experience. (Oh, and experienced my first sandstorm too. Funny, I also experienced my first snowstorm in last Feb’s NYFW). Nevertheless, I don’t miss Coachella at all. But I do miss the company.
The snow and cold weather didn’t stop us from shooting together. I love shooting Chriselle. You should check out the rest of our shots on her blog post: http://thechrisellefactor.com/2013/02/finding-nemo/
So fun seeing my photos with Chandamheer Stacker on the BCBGGeneration Website!
Here’s a shot of Punam Patel (Nothing Broken) at the Castro District last weekend. This looks nothing like the Castro you had in your mind – we decided to shoot one street over Castro, which was actually a quiet and photogenic neighborhood.
A preview of my photoshoot with Joyce Lee.
Punam: Where should we shoot?
Me: Let’s do Farmer’s Market!
Punam: What should I wear?
Me: Surprise me.
I didn’t expect Punam would go glam at the farmer’s market. She totally stood out from the crowd. A very fun and memorable shoot!
White peach. Yellow peach. It's peach season!
Fresh bread is the best kind of bread.
I'll have one of each!
Support your local farmer's market!
Most of the good bloggers always leave San Francisco, and Laura Ellner is one of them, who now resides in New York. I was very glad to have finally met her on her return trip to San Francisco for the Tokyo Bay/ Rare Device Launch. She was more than happy to do an impromptu shoot! Here are some shots we took on Hayes & Divisidero Street. Check out her blog after! On The Racks.
It was two years ago when I discovered the blog Blushing Ambition and really admired it since then. Can you imagine what I felt when Miss Annabel Ly walked in at the Tokyo Bay / Rare Device event? Yupp. All I remember saying to her was, “I want you for two minutes, Annabel.” And then it was game on! As you can see, she’s got awesome personal style, and another reason for you to check out her blog!
