Yesterday I did a test shoot with model Nicole from LOOK Model Agency, stylist Cassidy Mehlman, and makeup/hairstylist Adrienne Finley. We shot in the San Francisco Maritime (if you don’t recall, think Ghirardelli Square). We were very fortunate to have several things: good weather, amazing lighting conditions, a great team, and free parking. Yes, free parking is always a blessing when shooting in San Francisco.
Makeup is done. Now on to hair!
Adrienne touching up Nicole’s lips. Cassidy re-adjusting the jewelry.
First look ready! Now we can finally shoot.
“You can never have enough jewelry,” said Cassidy.
The last look of the day!
Here are some of the behind the scenes with my shoot with M Dot Design Studio for Michelle’s Spring 2013 Collection. We shot six looks altogether, with models Catherine Yoon and Nicole Tan. This was one of the shoots I was very excited about, especially because we have an amazing team alongside Regard Tang (makeup) and Gercy Galang (hair). We also had Italian shoe designer Pamela Quinzi drop by (from New York) to lend us two of her amazing shoes for the shoot.
We shot this at the rooftop of Regard and Kevin Osmond’s pad in Studio City. We were very lucky the rain stopped (it was drizzling / raining the past two days) and the sun pretty much said hello the rest of the day. Special thanks to Gabe for helping out with the lighting and getting food/drinks for the crew. And special thanks for Regard and Kevin for the accommodation.
Be sure to check out the M.Dot Design Studio website: http://www.mdotdesignstudio.com. I shot for Michelle back in late spring/ early summer when she visited San Francisco.

Up the elevator we go! Kevin looking like a deer in front of headlights. Catherine with a goofy grin.
Ready for our first look!

Must have been something I said?
She won’t let me take a normal pic of her. But then again, what is “normal”?
On to the last look!
Last minute touchups!
Stay tuned for the final shots!
Here are some of the behind the scenes from my shoot with Jewel and Elaine. We shot this at the Cliff House in San Francisco, one of my favorite places to shoot. Unless it is super windy and freezing.
Here are some behind the scenes shots of my photoshoot with Bethany Pifer. Our makeup artist was Juelz, and our hair was Jacqueline Gomes. Our prep was at Bethany’s pad, which was pretty cool because she had like 5 cats. Or was it 6? I’m not sure. Oh and a dog too. We drove to Baker Beach, San Francisco for the beach shoot. We thought it was going to be summer-like, but realized it was quite the opposite. I guess you never know what San Francisco weather is going to be like on the day of a shoot.
This just in: Cat steals the show.
Jacqueline is a pro when it comes to hair.
Jacqueline also helped out carrying the warm blanket that kept Bethany out of the cold.
Are you sure you want to get in the water, Bethany?
Giving Bethany that wet hair look.
As with any beach shoot, you get sand everywhere.
Here are some of the behind the scenes from yesterday’s shoot. It’s our fourth photo shoot together, Jewel and I, and this time it’s with Falosophie’s Elaine Wu as our stylist. Shot at the Cliff House, we were lucky to have overcast and not so cold winds. Stay tuned for the final shots.
Excuse me Miss Natalie, but your book is upside down. And she doesn’t even read Korean. LOL.
Today is my shoot with Amour Vert
for their Fall 2011 LookBook. Amour Vert is an eco-conscious fashion line based in Palo Alto, CA. Parisian designer, Linda Balti, inspire Amour Vert’s chic and affordable urban apparel designs. I am currently waiting for makeup and hair to finish, so I decided to post these behind the scenes.

Makeup / Hairstylist Jessica Carlisle Lee starts working on Russian model Natalya Asadulla’s makeup.
Then after the makeup, Natalya was on to fitting with designer Wen Guo.
Natalya is ready to shoot!
Well… almost. Just a few more adjustments.
Luckily we had stylist Aram Ostadian-Binai who came all the way from Copenhagen, Denmark to keep an eye out for us. Check out her fashion blog
Natalya was like a jet ready to launch. Here she shows off her posing skills while Aram makes some additional adjustments.

Natalya goes wild at the end of our 6.5 hour shoot. I don’t blame her.
Overall, it was a very fun photo shoot with a very energetic team.
Special thanks to Dean Quiñanola for being a wonderful host.
Stay tuned for the final releases of the actual shots to be used on the look book.

The third look. A lot more fierce this time.
